UL752 certified Level 2 panels are most commonly used for protection against hand guns of high power, such as the .357 Magnum, and the like, with muzzle energy of 548-663 foot-pounds (743-899J). Level 2 is 5/16"" thick and weighs 3.6 lbs per sq. ft. ArmorCore panels are made of multiple layers of woven-roving fiberglass impregnated with a thermoset polyester resin and compressed into flat rigid sheets. The production technique and materials used provide the controlled internal delamination to permit the capture of a penetrating projectile. ArmorCore fiberglass panels are easy to install, non-ricochet, effective against forced entry, storm resistant, low wicking, 1-hour fire rated and non-toxic. Waco Composites has been the direct manufacturer of ArmorCore bullet resistant fiberglass since 1996 and is an ISO Registered 9001:2015 company. We offer a variety of standard size sheets: 3’, 4’ & 5’ widths by 8’, 9’ & 10’ lengths along with custom cutting to any 2-dimensional size.
